Meet the team
Thomas van Rensburg
Environmental Economist with over 10 years applied professional experience of renewable power generation projects spanning solar, wind, bio-methane, hydrogen and battery storage. He has particular strengths in project appraisal, financial analysis, climate finance, the adoption and social acceptance of renewable technologies in the context of the low carbon transition and in maximizing the impact of renewables on rural development, livelihoods, community development and sustainable development.
Pete Kibel
Pete has worked in the renewables and environmental technology sector for over 20 years. He has initiated and financed a number of renewables and marine tech companies over the past decade and acted as a consultant to large renewables projects over 1000 MW in Asia, Africa and Nepal.
Mothusi van Rensburg
I started my working life as a Mechanic, and for the last 20 years I have been engaged in community development in Botswana, with experience in developing public/private partnerships to develop the local community and to tackle issues of unemployment and poverty. This includes 15 years of property maintenance management experience as well as establishing and running a community Trust and establishing a source of local funding for the sustainability of the Trust, with extensive experience in working with local communities.
Harold von Zyl
Geologist offering over 35 years of successful geological experience specialising in Regional Geology, Mining Geology and Exploration. Solid business background with extensive knowledge of mining economics, risk management and financial reporting, increased resources/reserves and operating efficiency through management and cost-effective programs. Increased efficiency of delivery schedule while reducing operating costs. Able to merge technologies and personnel into team-centred business units. Was part of BCL Limited groups of mines and metallurgical complex EXCO Team, responsible for all Technical Services (Exploration, Geology, Mine Planning, Survey, Rock Engineering and Ventilation) at BCL Limited, including Safety, Health and Environment. BCL was the biggest nickel-copper mining-metallurgical complex in Botswana and possible Africa.
